Is Orange the IT Color for Fall?

I've been seeing orange everywhere these days. Seems like it has been picked as the "it" color for fall. I like it very much. Orange is fall, leaves pumpkins etc. I think the above pictures add just the right amount of orange without going overboard. Do any colors remind you of a particular season? (All pictures from the Pottery Barn website).

I usually don't like orange except for pumpkins but these are pretty rooms.

If orange is the IT color I would not complain, orange is my favorite color.

I think it's more the shade/hue than the actual color that make something seasonal for me. Bright red and lime greem are summery; but take them to jewel tones and they're Christmas colors. Bright orange makes me think of happy beach balls and creamsicles. But a spicey orange, or pumpkin, is absolutely the color of fall!

My fall colors are all shades of brown, but this combination of orange and red are truly fall like. I believe that I have read somewhere that every home should have something orange in it. It is supposed to attract some positive energy if we should believe the feng shui masters.

I do have to say I love my orange accent wall. It gives the room a little punch and when all lights are out but the one table lamp by it .. it draws you.

I too have been noticing orange everywhere. I'm really liking it, and thinking about adding it to my home.

I didn't care much for orange until I started reading How About Orange (www.howaboutorange.blogspot.com)and became a convert. I love my burnt orange velvet cushions, and how they lift the neutral room.

Dear Small Space Style Guru:

My name is Terry and I absolutely adore your blog. Now that you're posting about color, I wonder whether you have any ideas (or pictures!) of rooms done in taupe and various greens. I must use this combo in my teensy NYC apartment and would appreciate ideas.

Thanks for your blog, which gives me no end of pleasure.

Best,
Terry

I love orange.
I have an orange otami in my bedroom and still have to frame then hang a strawberry luna poster (for The Decemberists).

I find it energising in small doses and it makes me happy.

Ooooh, look at you, you guru! You knew that any mention of orange would make me come running, right? I was in the Holy Land today and saw a whole slew of orange and brown (not together), with loads of textury embellishment... embroidery, zebra, crewelwork. You name it, PB was pushing it!

Lovely, lovely hue, and gorgeous pics from you... Huge props.

Anneliese...the holy land...snicker! You were looking for a prayer rug perhaps? (can't wait to see that bad boy in your living room girl!)

Terry- I will look for some pictures in that hue for you! If you could give me a few days that would be great.

Thank you all for your words...I LOVE hearing what you all have to say and appreciate you taking the time to do it!

I really love the oranges they are using these dsys...
